MELDRUM HOUSE

In the heart of Aberdeenshire, the Meldrum House Hotel and Estate dating back to the 13th century stands as an iconic and revered landmark. Renowned for its opulent accommodation, picturesque surroundings, and an impressive 18-hole golf course, it has long been a destination of choice for those seeking luxury and leisure.

Responding to a growing demand for expanded offerings, particularly in the realms of weddings and conferences, our team undertook the exciting challenge of extending this historic establishment. The objective was to enhance the facilities by adding 28 new bedrooms, expansive function areas, a state-of-the-art banquet kitchen, and dedicated staff quarters.

The extension project aimed not only to meet the rising demand for accommodation but also to position the hotel as a premier venue for events and gatherings. By carefully designing and integrating the new elements into the existing structure, we sought to seamlessly blend modern luxury with the timeless charm of the 13th-century architecture.

The additional bedrooms were conceived with a commitment to providing comfort and style, ensuring that each space reflects the upscale standard associated with the hotel. The large function areas were designed to be versatile, accommodating both grand weddings and corporate conferences with equal finesse. The banquet kitchen, equipped with cutting-edge facilities, aimed to elevate the culinary offerings to match the elevated status of the establishment.

Throughout the planning and execution of the extension project, preserving the historical integrity of the hotel remained a top priority. Special attention was paid to maintaining the architectural coherence, ensuring that the new additions complemented rather than overshadowed the original structure.

In conclusion, the extension of Meldrum House Hotel was not just a response to increased demand; it was a thoughtful endeavour to elevate the overall guest experience. Balancing the rich history of the establishment with contemporary needs, the project aimed to solidify the hotel's standing as a distinguished destination for both luxury accommodation and memorable events. This case exemplifies our ability to turn a client's vision into reality while navigating the intricacies of regional planning considerations.
