THE STABLES

In the heart of the picturesque Keithhall Estate, a magnificent transformation unfolded as our skilled team undertook the meticulous refurbishment of a B Listed former Stables & Coach House dating back to the 1860s. This Palladian-style gem, with its architectural splendour, had languished in a state of neglect until our discerning client entrusted us with the task of resurrecting its grandeur.

The restoration journey began by delicately peeling away the layers of neglect, revealing the timeless beauty of the stone walls that formed the foundation of this historic edifice. With precision and care, we embarked on an ambitious endeavour to metamorphose the structure into a luxurious residential dwelling, complete with a separate guest wing.

To meet contemporary living standards, the entire building underwent a thorough internal reconstruction, meticulously framed out to accommodate modern comforts while preserving the charm of yesteryear. The essence of the 1860s Palladian style was carefully retained, allowing the structure to seamlessly marry its storied past with the demands of present-day living.

Internally, the property was embraced by a blanket of insulation, ensuring not only the preservation of its historical integrity but also compliance with the latest standards of comfort and efficiency. A comprehensive rewiring initiative, accompanied by the installation of state-of-the-art plumbing and heating systems, breathed new life into the once-neglected space.

As a nod to the building's heritage, the existing slate roof, weathered by the passage of time, was meticulously maintained. Any areas requiring attention were expertly repaired, ensuring that the roof not only stood as a testament to the bygone era but also safeguarded the newfound splendour within.

This ambitious restoration project stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of history and modernity, breathing life back into a Palladian masterpiece that now stands proudly within the embrace of the Keithhall Estate, inviting guests to experience the enchantment of a bygone era in unparalleled luxury and style.
